The Great Pumpkin Pageant

The Great Pumpkin Pageant

This October, get ready to participate in Plymouth Public Library’s first-ever Great Pumpkin Pageant. The Great Pumpkin Pageant will feature hand-painted, book-inspired pumpkins created by YOU!

Here’s how to enter:

  • Pick out a pumpkin from a local seller to bring home.
  • Get creative! Think of a book character or book cover to use as inspiration for your pumpkin!
  • NO CARVED PUMPKINS—carved pumpkins and pumpkins with holes in them will rot very quickly in the library. Please stick to paint and use glue to add any decorations you’d like to bring your creation to life!
  • Monday October 25th is drop-off day! Bring your finished pumpkin to the library to be put on display in the children’s area. (Late entries will be allowed through Tuesday October 26th)
  • Vote for your favorite pumpkin! Stop into the library during the week and fill out a ballot to determine the winner of the pageant.

The winning pumpkin will be announced on Monday, November 1st!

Pumpkins will be disposed of following Saturday October 30th. If you are interested in bringing your pumpkin home, please let Miss Sam know and she will hold it for you until Tuesday November 2nd.
