Finance Director

The City of Plymouth/Plymouth Utilities is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced municipal leader for our next Finance Director. The Finance Director leads the development and implementation of financial management functions of the City of Plymouth and Plymouth Utilities.  This includes oversight of financial reporting and accounting, cash management and investments, debt management, asset management, internal reviews of accounting controls and practices, budget preparation and coordination of the annual audit. 

The Finance Director provides complex financial support to the City Administrator/Utilities Manager, City of Plymouth Common Council and the City/Utilities Staff.  The Finance Director is a member of our Management Team in a financially strong organization and reports to the City Administrator/Utilities Manager.  They will have direct supervision over the Staff Accountants and City Treasurer.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with five or more years of progressively responsible government/utility accounting or auditing experience, including supervision of staff.  Pay range is $100,000-$115,000 with an excellent benefit package including; health, life insurance, sick leave, vacation benefits, WI State Retirement plan, paid time off and holidays, etc.
