The Plymouth Public Library kindly accepts donations and gifts of materials or funds. Please note that the Library Board makes the final determination for accepting the donation or gift. All accepted donations and gifts become the property of the library, to be used at the discretion of the Plymouth Library Board of Trustees. The library will not make a valuation for tax purposes for any donation. However, an acknowledgement of receipt of the donation can be issued. Contact us if you have any questions.
From time-to-time, the Plymouth Public Library has a need of volunteers. If you would like to submit your name as a volunteer, please stop by the library and fill out an application. Once your volunteer application is approved, you will be notified of any current volunteer opportunities. We cannot do what we do without the support of our volunteers. Thank you all so very much!
Donate Money and/or Materials
If donating funds, you may specify how you would like the funds used. The specification must be within the guidelines set forth by the Plymouth Library Board of Trustees. Any unspecified funds will be used at the discretion of the Board and Library Director.
The library accepts donated materials in general clean and good condition (books, DVDs, music CDs, audiobooks).
Materials donation guidelines:
- Donated materials will be placed in the collection at the discretion of the library using professional standards. Most all materials that are not put in the library’s collection will go to the book sale.
- The library does not accept the following: Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Magazines, VHSs, Cassettes.
- The library does not generally accept Nonfiction books that are older than 5 years.
Interested in making an endowment to the Plymouth Public Library? It is easy to do. Simply request that the Plymouth Public Library Foundation be a beneficiary of your Last Will and Testament. Your lawyer will see to it that the library receives the endowment. Thank you for your support!
