Budget Billing

Most of us have higher electric bills during the summer and winter months and lower bills in the spring and fall.  These fluctuations can make budgeting for your utility bill difficult.  Many Plymouth Utilities customers have already elected to take advantage of this budgeting program.

The program allows you to even out your energy costs over the course of a year through a fixed payment each month.  With this payment plan you will not experience high bill surprises in the months you use the most electricity, and your budget is easier to manage.

Your budget payment amount is calculated using the average of your total charges over the last twelve months.  Because you are paying an average, some months your charges will reflect a balance and some months a credit.  We monitor your account and adjust your budget amount annually to ensure what you are paying is right for you.

Customers wishing to start budget billing must have a zero balance.  To remain a budget billing customer, your bills must be paid in-full by your due date every month.  A perfect pairing for our budget billing program is ACH Withdrawal (Automatic Payments).
