Reading Dragons Club!
A FREE reading program for 1st through 5th graders inspired by collectible trading cards such as Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic the Gathering.
From September to April, spend time reading in order to collect your very own mythical creature cards!
Beginning September 5th, participants can pick up a starter kit from the Children's Desk at the Plymouth Public Library and start earning dragons! The starter kit includes a Reading Tracker and three starter cards. The starter cards will allow you to start playing right away! Instructions for games are included on your Reading Tracker.
To earn new cards, participants must fill in a block on the Reading Tracker by reading for 30 minutes. Four finished blocks = one mythical creature family that consists of the egg, baby, teen, and adult cards for the creature chosen. Each month, participants will have the opportunity to earn limited edition cards to add to their collection.
Beginning in October, the library will host a monthly meet up for Reading Dragon Club participants aka Dragon Trainers! Join us in the library's meeting room to play games with fellow Dragon Trainers, eat snacks, and do dragon-themed crafts.
